Robert Ray Hardin



was born in Savannah, Tennessee on May 15, 2007 the son of the late Otis Lee and Oma Bell Mills Hardin.



He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. On September 7, 1949 he was united in marriage to the former Jean Dell Kelly, who survives. Mr. Hardin was a retired electrical contractor. He was a member of East End Methodist Church and a board member of the Savannah Housing Authority.



He departed this life on January 30, 2007 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 15 days.



Mr. Hardin is survived by his wife, Jean Dell Kelly Hardin of Savannah, Tennessee;

two daughters, Donna H. Plunk and Teresa Hosea, both of Savannah;

two sons, Bobby Ray Hardin and Darious Lee Hardin, both of Savannah;

seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers.
