He is survived by his wife Dorothy Roberts Hairfield; one daughter, Julia M. Benson; three sons, Robert T. Hairfield, Sam W. Hairfield and Daniel W. Hairfield, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and one sister, Mildred Ann Liles of Hamlet, North Carolina; 2 nephews, Larry and Edward Hairfield; 7 grand-children and 2 great-grandchildren.
