Robert Lee Gurley, 78, of Toone, died Sunday evening, March 4, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widower of Alene Gurley, who died in 2002, he was a farm laborer. Mr. Gurley was born March 1, 1929 in Gleason, son of the late Caude H. Gurley and Ethel D. Tucker Gurley and had made his home in Toone for the past 5 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and attended Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and one son, Tina, Freda and Bobby Gurley, all of St. Louis, MO and two sisters, Mary Moss of Bossier City, LA and Margaret Claunch of Toone. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Jones and Helen Stewart and two brothers, Leo and Wayne Gurley.
