Robert Floyd “Carney†Collins was born on July 27, 1940 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of Mary Elizabeth Gray Collins and the late Luther Franklin Collins.
On July 27, 1959 he was united in marriage to the former Gloria Jean Cravins, who survives. Mr. Collins was self-employed and was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
He departed this life on October 1, 2005 at his residence in Savannah at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 4 days.
Mr. Collins is survived by
his mother, Mary Elizabeth Collins of Savannah, Tennessee; his wife, Gloria Jean Collins of Savannah; 2 daughters: Melissa Gail Blakney and her husband, Timmy and Karena Dawn Chambers and her husband, Benji ,all of Adamsville, Tennessee;
3 sons: Timothy Floyd Collins and his wife, Carol of Savannah, Robert Keith Collins and his wife, Lee of Henderson, Tennessee and Jonathan Ray Collins and his wife, Amanda of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one sister, Helen Rickman of Savannah.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: John Luther and Carroll Franklin Collins.
