Robert "Bud" Wayne Chandler, age 82 of Hornsby, passed from this life Friday, November 28, 2008 in Germantown, TN.He was born December 23, 1925 in Silerton, TN to the late Jack and Addie Ayers Chandler. He served his country in World War II at Iwojima, beginning in the Medical Corp and ending his service as a Combat Engineer. He married his wife, Mary Dean Crawford, who survives, in 1944. In addition to working for Armira Corp for 44 years, he was a senior Master Mason, a member of the Hornsby Ruritan, drove a school bus for over ten years, served as the mayor of Hornsby for over 20 years and was a constant gardener. He was a member of the Hornsby Baptist Church.In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Shelia Hensley of Bartlett; a son, Rickey Chandler of Roseville, CA; three grandchildren, Rick Chandler of Hornsby, Rob Chandler and Susie Campbell, both of Roseville, CA; six great-grandchildren, Kristi Chandler, John Michael Chandler, Cullen Chandler, Autumn Campbell, Robbie Chandler and Dreyvan.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Sue Hooper.
