ROBERT (BOBBY) BRAY, JR.
was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee on December 21, 1945 the son of the late Robert Riley Bray, Sr. and Frankie Bryant Bray.
On December 9, 1967 he was united in marriage to Nancy Lack, who survives.
Robert served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was a long haul truck driver for various trucking companies before retiring after 24 years with Milan Express. Robert was the past president of the Hardin County Cancer Society and helped organize the Bike-A-Thon to raise money. While his daughter, Amanda was attending Walker Elementary, he was president of the PTO. Robert was the greeter and usher at Amazing Life Church and usher at Christian Life Center. He was a member of the Caprenter's Shop Church. Robert was a loving husband, daddy and friend. He never met a stranger and loved to talk. Robert was a very charitable person and would help a stranger in need.
He departed this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 3 days.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Nancy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his daughter, Amanda Bray and her wife, Amanda Whisnant of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Mike Bray of Columbia, Tennessee; and sister, Tracey Scruggs of Gaffney, South Carolina.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Keith Bray; sister, Betty Bray Wooddell; and brothers, Ronnie Bray and Anthony Bray.
