Robert Monroe Black was born August 9, 1931 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Euless and Cora Lipford Black. He was united in marriage to Birdie Black on September 17, 1954.Mr. Black was retired from Grinell Corporation after 24 years of service. He had worked for Ford Motor company as a painter 4 years. He was also a farmer and welder. He departed this life on June 18, 2007 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 10 Months, 9 Days. Mr. Black is survived by his wife, Birdie Black of Adamsville, Tennessee; a daughter, Cora Mae Daniel and husband Jackie Neal of Adamsville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Ryan Heath Daniel and wife Jessica of Nashville, Tennessee and Robyn Honor Daniel of Adamsville, Tennessee; four sisters, Lessie Battipaglia of Adamsville, Tennessee, Mary Bryan of Ripley, Mississippi, Jewell Gober of Selmer, Tennessee and Opal Wilson of Milan, Tennessee; one brother, Dennie Black of Nashville, Tennessee and a special friend, Jeff Roberson of Stantonville, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, Mr. Black was preceded in death by three sisters, Ader Massengill, Ruby Gammill and Bessie Lee Brady and two brothers, Willard Black and Jimmie Black.
