Robert M. Baker
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 31, 1924 the son of the late James Robert and Ammos Boroughs Baker.
On December 26, 1952 he was united in marriage to Gladys Burns who survives.
Mr. Baker was a military veteran having served in the Army during WWII. He worked for Crounse Corporation were he retired as a River Boat Captain. He was a member of the Mt Carmel United Methodist Church, American Legion VFW #0130, and the Clifton Masonic Lodge #173.
Mr. Baker departed this life on October 4, 2007 in Clifton, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 9 Months, 4 Days.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter: Patsy Baker Evans and her husband Mike of Clifton, Tennessee; son: Robert David Baker of Clifton , Tennessee; 1 brother: T. J. Baker of Clifton, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Rebecca Evans Turner and her husband Jeramy, John Michael Evans, and James David Evans; 1 great-grandson: Nate Thomas Turner.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother Florence Conway Baker; 1 son: Archie B. Bryant; 1 sister: Mary Baker Conway.
