Robbie Lee Brown was born on August 19, 1935 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Greene and Linnie Bell Franks Brown. On July 27, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jerry Allen Wolfe who preceded his wife in death on December 3, 2014.
Mrs. Robbie was a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked at Gillis Mills School as a cook in the 1950s and for Savannah Manufacturing in the 1960s. Robbie quilted for the public. Her daughters remember that there was always quilting frames up and their mother always said she was known for making the tiniest stitch.
Robbie Lee Brown Wolfe departed this life on August 9, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Neill and Christie Stricklin, both of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, James Robert Brown of Adamsville, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Neill, Jessica Stricklin, and Lizzie Stricklin, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and a great granddaughter, Ryleigh Neill.
In addition to her parents and husband, Robbie was preceded in death by her brothers, Graford Brown and Millard Brown; sisters, Bertha Stricklin, Sally Stricklin, and Carrie Stricklin; and 2 infant siblings.
