Surrounded by her family, Robbie Salter Wolfe passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, after a brief illness at Jackson General Hospital. After enjoying most of her life in Savannah, Tennessee, Robbie (age 98) spent the previous 16 years in Jackson, Tennessee near her family.
Born on August 27, 1923, Robbie soon became a business owner and hair stylist. Later she worked for the Hardin County Board of Education and the Hardin County Bank. She also served on the 96th Tennessee General Assembly House of Representatives where she represented District 71 and finished her husband Herman L. Wolfe's term. Her passions in life included time with family, church, golf, and watching sports.
Robbie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Salter Durham and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Farra R. Durham and Grant S. Durham and his wife Lisa; and great grandchildren, Luke S. Durham and Andrew G. Durham. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond B. Salter; second husband, Herman L. Wolfe; parents, Robert "Bob" Taylor and Nora Taylor; and brothers, Ulvey Taylor, Doyle Taylor, and Robert Taylor.
