Robbie L. Balentine

Services for Robbie Laurine Balentine, 70, a resident of Wayne Care Nursing Home from Collinwood, TN will be Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood with John E. Banks and Stacey E. Holt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday , May 16, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Keith Turbett, Brady Turbett, Jason Balentine, Marcus Adams, Arlan Keeton and Alvin Gilchrist.



She died at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN on Monday, May 14, 2007 after an extended illness.



Robbie, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a retired employee of Collinwood Manufacturing and was a member of McGlamery Church. She was a daughter of the late Jessie Floyd and Bessie Margaret Hanback Balentine. Robbie loved growing flowers in her yard and was always giving sprouts to anyone that would take them. She enjoyed quilting and doing embroidery work before her illness confined her.



Survivors, son, Roger C. Balentine and wife, Vickie; granddaughter, Courtney Alise Balentine, brother, Charles Ancil Balentine and wife, Faye, all of Collinwood, TN; sister, Elizabeth Turbett and husband, Larry of Lakeland, TN; nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
