Rita Ann Moon

Rita Ann Melson Moon departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN. at the age of 47 Years, 10 Months, 15 Days. She was born December 12, 1968 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of Lonzo Harvey and Lillie Murphy Melson of Waynesboro, TN.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Moon on July 11, 1997.

Rita was employed with D&L Homecare.

She is preceded in death by son, Bradley Burns, sister, Lisa Walker.

She is survived by other than parents, her husband Ernest (Ernie) Moon , sons, Jamie Burns and wife Shayna , Tyler Burns and wife Shelia all of Waynesboro, TN, daughters, Alana Burleson of Augusta, GA, Brook Moon and Breanna Moon , brother, James Melson and wife Pam , sister, Judy Holt and husband Stan all of Waynesboro, TN, grandchildren, Hunter Burns, Markell Moore, Jacob Burns, Carson Burns, Bailey Burns, Makhya David

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Houston Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery , Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1, 5:00 pm until service time @ Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood.
