Ricky Arnold Nelson, Jr.

Services for Ricky A. Nelson, Jr., age 31, Lawrenceburg, TN, will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, TN with Casey Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Justin and Jeffery Steele, Greg and Keith Staggs, Chuck and Scott Skelton, Chris and Cory Crews. He died at Crockett Hospital, Lawrenceburg, Monday, April 30, 2007.



Mr. Nelson, a native of Lawrence County, TN, was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He was a brother of the late Robert A. (Robbie) Nelson, a grandson of the late George Nelson, and a step-grandson of the late Ray Wade and Virginia Kelley.



Survivors, wife, Kristy Swinea Nelson, stepson, Colby Tad McCrory, both of Lawrenceburg; father and stepmother, Ricky Nelson, Sr. and Shelia Nelson; mother and stepfather, Sandra (Sandy) Hanson Wade and Mark Wade; brother, Chris Nelson; half-sister, Lacey Nelson, all of Waynesboro; step-brothers, Hunter Wade, Paris, TN, Derek Jones, Waynesboro; step-sisters, Ingrid Jones, Hohenwald, Heather Wade, Paris, TN; grandmothers, Nadine Hanson, Waynesboro, Norma Nelson, Murray, KY; step-grandmother, Flossie Wade, Paris, TN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
