Rickey D. Harwell was born on December 26, 1949 in Enville, Tennessee, the son of Moline Hutton Harwell and the late Kendrith Ray Harwell.
Prior to moving to Savannah, Tennessee, Rickey had resided in Enville, Memphis, and Jackson, Tennessee. Mr. Harwell was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee where he served as Treasurer. He was also a member of the MLS Association in Memphis, Tennessee and had served as Savannah City Commissioner in Savannah, Tennessee. River City Rick, as he was known by many, was an affiliate broker for River City Real Estate. He had also owned The Trading Post and PC Paradise and was previously employed by Hardin County Schools as a teacher. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, baseball, planting trees, hunting squirrel, and collecting pocket knives, ball cards, and arrowheads. He also loved anything about history and politics.
Rickey Harwell departed this life on July 22, 2016 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 6 months, 26 days.
He is survived by his son, Wesley Harwell and his wife Jaclyn, of Collierville, Tennessee; step-granddaughter, Everleigh Emanus of Collierville, Tennessee; and his mother, Moline Harwell.
