Burial will be in the Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery, Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Mr. Reaves was born in Wayne Co., Tennessee to the late James Robert Reaves and Lina Mae Belle Vickery Reaves Brewer.He married Myrtle Tidwell on October 1, 1946, was an assembly line worker,and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Reaves departed this life on June 28, 2008 at E. C. M. Hospital, Florence, Alabama at the age of 79 Years, 6 Months, 10 Days.In addition to his parents, Mr. Reaves was preceded in death by brothers, Jay Reaves, R. B. Reaves; sisters, Josie Eveline Horton, Esther Carlton. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Reaves, Florence, AL; son, Billy Reaves and wife, Margie, Florence, AL; brother, Lee Warrren Reaves, Red Boiling Springs, TN; sisters, Lois Horton and husband, Edward, Collinwood, TN, Shirley Jean Clemons, Florence, AL; grandchildren, Ricky Reaves and wife, Becky, and Julie Reaves; great-grandchildren, Erika Reaves, Loren Thigpen,Daniel Reaves, Caitlyn Reaves, Emily Thigpen; several nieces and nephews.
