Richard Powell, 42, of Bolivar, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a car dealer for a time. Mr. Powell was born October 13, 1963 in Bolivar, son of the late Ewell James Powell and Jerry Yarberry Powell and lived here all of his life. He was Baptist in belief.
Services were 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Rickey Watkins officiating. Burial was in Woods Cemetery near Hickory Valley.
Survivors include four daughters, Amanda Sipes and Jennifer Waldrop, both of Bolivar and Natashia and Brandy Powell, both of Toone; three sisters, Leona Duncan of Bolivar, Kathy Powell of Walnut, Miss. and Brenda Powell of Grand Junction; one brother, Dick Powell of Jackson and three grandchildren, Austin and Scott Kyle Sipes and Seth Howell. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Powell and two brothers, Jamie and Jimmy Dean Powell.
