Richard G. 'Jerry' Perry, died Friday at Methodist Hospital in Somerville.
Mr. Perry was born in the Fayette Corner Community. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Esther H. 'Bettye' Perry, son, Richard Scott Perry, granddaughter, Rio Diane Espinoza and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse T. Perry and Marie Campbell Perry and brothers, John T. Perry and James R. 'Bud' Perry.
A graduate of Whiteville High School, Mr. Perry was an engineer with the TN Dept. of Transportation for thirty-nine years, retiring in 2001. He was an active member of Whiteville First United Methodist Church serving as Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years. He was a member of Henderson Masonic Lodge #485 F&AM and Henderson Chapter #120 Order of the Eastern Star.
