Richard Wayne Mercer

Richard Wayne Mercer was born February 13, 1954 in Corinth, MS, the son of the late Richard Olen Mercer and Doris Barnes Mercer. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and musician. He loved playing his guitar and singing. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Mr. Mercer departed this life on February 28, 2022 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 68 Years, 15 Days.

He is survived by his loving companion, Teresa Hodum of Ramer, TN; two sons, Richard W. Mercer II of Chewalla, TN, Daniel Lee Mercer of Corinth, MS; mother of Richard II and Paula, Linda Knighton of Corinth, MS; two sisters, Dorothy Melancon of New Orleans, LA, Donna Lynn Lee and husband Tim of Chewalla, TN; four grandchildren; Preston Mercer, Kerrigan Elizabeth Ragan, Chandler Mercer, Axton Mercer; a great grandchild, Kason Godsby; and a host of nieces, nephews and coffee buddies at the Ramer Quick Stop.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mercer was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Mercer.
