Mr. Hodge passed away early Friday morning, January 3, 2020, at his home.
Richard was a native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, the son of the late Aubrey Richard and Beatrice Pearl Cofer Hodge. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce.
He was the owner/operator, along with his wife, of "Richard's BBQ" in Bolivar, which he established in 1989. Mr. Hodge was known throughout the area, and beyond, for his skill and knowledge in preparing and serving pork and other foods.
A Baptist in belief, he loved his country and those who served to protect it both in the military and law enforcement. He was an expert story teller and never met a stranger, evidenced by his love for people. In his leisure time, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing.
