Rheba Faye Bradley

October 26, 1924 — February 7, 2013

Rheba Faye Thrasher Sharp Bradley was born October 26, 1924 in Adamsville, Tennessee the daughter of the late General Hence and Rachel DeLaney Robnett Thrasher.



She was united in marriage to Talmadge Sharp on February 7, 1946. Mr. Sharp preceded her in death in 1948. On February 7, 1953, she was united in marriage to Vernon Bradley. Mr. Bradley preceded her in death on July 8, 2008.



Mrs. Bradley worked in Oak Ridge, TN on the Manhattan Project during World War II. She also helped build parts for B-24 bombers at a war-time plant in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Bradley worked locally for Mae's Fabric Center in Adamsville in the 1960's and 1970's. She was a faithful member of Adamsville First Baptist Church, where she served as a former Sunday School teacher and was active in the Women's Missionary Union. When she was younger, Mrs. Bradley enjoyed bowling. In her later years, she liked to crochet and work jigsaw, number, and word puzzles. She also enjoyed watching the NASCAR circuit; her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.



Mrs. Bradley departed this life on February 7, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Sharp) Erwin and husband Tommy of Adamsville, TN; a son, Dr. David A. Bradley and wife Teresa of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren: Paige (Erwin) Joyner and husband Brian, Scott Erwin and wife Stephanie, David A. (Chip) Bradley, Jr. and wife Mallory, and Maxwell Bradley; five great-grandchildren: Daniel Joyner, Benjamin Joyner, Gabriella Erwin, Abigail Erwin, and Noah Erwin; a brother, J. C. Thrasher of Savannah, TN; and many extended family and friends.



In addition to her parents, and husbands, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by five sisters: Hattie (Thrasher) Perkins Hinton, Delpha (Thrasher) Wolverton, Vilda (Thrasher) Phillips, Mae (Thrasher) Perkins Smith, and Alene (Thrasher) Coats; and four brothers: Ulas Thrasher, Les Thrasher, Herman Thrasher, and Clarence Thrasher.
