Revis Leroy Holt

Services for Revis Leroy Holt, 70, Cypress Inn, Tennessee will be held Monday July 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Hydes Chapel Church of Christ, Cypress Inn, Tennessee, with Nolan Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge. He will lie in state from 9:00 am until service time.



Pallbearers will be Larry Garrett, Charlie South, Richard Behel, Leyonne Harper, David West, and Randy Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Hydes Chapel Church of Christ.



Mr. Holt died at his home Saturday, July 19, 2008. A native of Wayne County, he was born December 26, 1937 to the late Arthur and Belle Bevis Holt. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Holt.



Leroy served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He worked at Stylon for 12 years and at Reynolds Alloys for 27 years. He also raised cattle on his farm and did carpenter work. He was a member of the Hydes Chapel Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a Christian man who was a great example for all those who knew him.



He is survived by his wife Marjorie Elaine Garrett Holt of Cypress Inn, TN; a son, Randy Holt and wife Karan of Florence, AL; three daughters, Tish Barkley and husband Anthony of Lutts, TN, Seji Bratcher and husband Jonathan of Florence, AL, and Matilda of Cypress Inn, TN; five grandchildren, Jonna Holt, Blake Barkley, Carrie Holt, Shae Bratcher, Kage Bratcher; two great grandchildren, Chance Holt and Trenton Holt; a brother, Thomas Holt and wife Emanola of Cypress Inn, TN; three sisters, Mauveline Scobey and husband Loyd of Nashville, TN, Augie B. Wright and husband Olin of Florence, AL, Fay Jean Gallian of Waynesboro, TN;
