Rebecca Sanders

Rebecca Sanders was born August 19, 1933 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Jack and Georgia Odell Wolfe Sanders.

Miss Sanders graduated from Selmer High School in 1953. She was retired from AIG Insurance Company, formerly National Life and Accident Insurance. She also worked for the Grand Ole Opry in ticket sales and back stage for 40 years. She had been a part-time administrative assistant with Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes in Brentwood. She was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Nashville.

Miss Sanders departed this life on March 31, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 7 Months, 12 Days. She is survived by a sister, Johnnie Crouch (Chuck), Oakland, TN; three brothers, Bill Sanders (Jo), Bon Aqua, TN, Sam Sanders (Sue), Lakeland, TN, Jerry Sanders (Rhonda), Eads, TN; special friends, Joanne Loggins and Vonda Kimmons as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Phelps and a brother, Holly Sanders.

Services will be held on April 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. . Burial will follow in the Falcon Cemetery at Selmer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at Bellevue Baptist Church in Nashville at 1:00 PM with Dr. Mike Shelton officiating.

Memorials may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
