Rebecca Dowdy, 75, of Grand Junction, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.
The wife of Malcolm O. Dowdy, who survives, she was a dental lab technician for 20 years for Dr. Cecil Keller in Bolivar. She was born June 2, 1930 in Tishomingo County, Miss., daughter of the late Albert Harold Crawford, Sr. and Edith Martin Crawford and made her home in Grand Junction in 1966. She was a former member of the Grand Junction City Council and was Baptist in belief.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Dean Davis and his wife, Lea, of Judsonia, Ark.; three grandsons, Joel Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, and Christopher and Wesley Davis, both of Judsonia, Ark.; one great granddaughter, Abbigale Davis of Cabot, Ark.; one sister, Elizabeh Couch of Tuscumbia, Ala. and a former daughter-in-law, Cathy Davis.
