Mrs. Bridges passed away Saturday, March 10 at her home in Middleton.
The wife of Howard Bridges, who survives, she was a shipping dock supervisor with Boise Cascade, where she worked for 20 years until her retirement in 1984. A native of Moscow, she was born August 25, 1942 to Leo Moody Stamper and Evelyn Estelle Diffie Stamper, both of whom preceded her in death, and lived several years in Memphis and in Hardeman County since 1975. She was a 1960 graduate of Messick High School and loved to ride horses. Her family states that she loved dogs, her flowers and doing yard work.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on November 23, 1983, she is survived by a daughter, Frankie Bonds Lee of Jacksonville, Florida; a step son, Jr. Bridges of Jackson; a step daughter, Lisa Bridges of Breckenridge, Colorado; two brothers, Crossett Stamper of Collierville and John Stamper of Moscow; and three grandchildren, James, Lily and Garrison Hunter Bridges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bettye Malone and a brother, Alvin Stamper.
