Mrs. Hood departed this life on Friday evening, January 21, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The daughter of the late Rufus Jack Skelton and Louise Skelton, who survives, she had worked many years as a home health nurse and CNA. Mrs. Hood lived most all of her life in Lamar, MS where she was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she leaves two sons, Tim Harris (Candace) of Lamar, MS and Chris Allen (Courtney) of Bolivar; four sisters and brothers, Tom Skelton (Ann) of Senatobia, MS, Wanda Leopard (Jack) of Oxford, MS, Stanley Skelton of Holly Springs and Gale Rogers of Ripley, MS; and six grandchildren she dearly loved, Madyson Harris, Hunter Wells, Averie Allen, Kaylin Allen, Kiley Allen and Noah Harris.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joann Skelton.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
