R.C. Austin
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 29, 1935 the son of the late Gustie and Thelma Myrtle Qualls Austin.
Mr. Austin worked as a wood cutter for Roser Handle Company and was a member of the Church of Christ. He also loved hunting and fishing.
He departed this life on April 28, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 30 days.
Mr. Austin is survived by 2 daughters: Rachel Annette Pittman of Little Rock, Arkansas
and Tonya Copeland of Jacksonville, Florida;
one son, Harvey Dale Austin of Corinth, Mississippi; 2 grandchildren;
2 sisters: Belle Jarrett of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Virgie Franks of Savannah, Tennessee and 2 brothers: Hoover and Jerry Austin, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
3 brothers: Buster, Columbus and L.G. Austin and one sister, Barbara Newton.
