Raymond Eudell Siler

July 22, 1933 — September 19, 2005

Raymond Eudell Siler, 72, of Silerton, died Monday, September 19, 2005 at his home in Henderson.



The husband of Patricia Harris Siler, who survives, he was a retired executive manager at International Harvest and J. I. Case. Mr. Siler was born July 22, 1933 in Silerton, son of the late Raymond Victor Siler and Ona Phillips Siler and lived in Hilliard, Ohio from 1979-2004 before returning here after retirement. Mr. Siler was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School and was a coach and umpire for youth baseball and football. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in Europe and was an active member of the American Legion while living in Ohio. Mr. Siler was a member of Silerton Baptist Church and was also an avid gardener.



Services were 11 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Silerton Baptist Church with Robert Louie Gibson and David Siler officiating. Burial was in Silerton Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.



In addition to his wife, whom he married May 23, 1959, survivors include his children, Kim (Ron) Royster, David (Kelly) Siler and Judi Siler all of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister Esther Wheeler of Bolivar, twin brother Phillip Odell Siler of Buena Park, Calif., half-brothers Raymond Siler and Charles Siler, half-sister Mary Hatch, mother-in-law Bessie Harris, his grandchildren, Micheal, Kelli, Tyler and Benjamin as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Ona Siler, father Raymond Siler, brother Leonard Siler, sister Virginia Desbien, father-in-law Leonard Harris, brother-in-law Arthur Wheeler and sister Effie Freeman.
