Raymond R. Fulkerson

Raymond Riggs Fulkerson age 91, passed away June 23, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Kansas City, MO.
He was born and reared in Owensboro, KY the son of the late Jesse Raymond and Ethel Riggs Fulkerson. He graduated high school in Owensboro and attended Harding College in Searcy, AR. He was married to Virginia L. Fulkerson in 1940. Mr. Fulkerson served as a Church of Christ minister, in Kentucky, Illinois, Virginia, Oklahoma and Tennessee. They moved to Henderson in 1987 to be near their son Gerald. He retired from preaching in 2000. Mr. Fulkerson had been in campaigns in Africa, New Zealand, Australia and many mission trips in the states. He was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ. He moved to MO in 2006 to be near Gerald and Joyce.
He is survived by a son; Dr. Gerald Fulkerson and wife Joyce of Kansas City, MO;
two grandchildren, Todd Fulkerson and Brett Fulkerson and five great-grandchildren and also a sister, Emma Grace Ellithorpe of Mt. Juliet, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee Fulkerson in 2007; a son Ron Fulkerson; a grandson, Greg Fulkerson and a brother, Emory Fulkerson.
