Raymond Loyd Coats

Raymond Loyd Coats of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on August 31, 1937, the son of the late John Aubrey Coats and Lucille Brewer Coats. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ruth Johnson on June 29, 1957. He was a retired fleet mechanic for American Linen Company. Mr. Coats died on Thursday, September 27, 2007, in Selmer at the age of 70 years and 27 days.Surviving Mr. Coats is Dorothy, his wife of 50 years; two daughters, Cathy Elaine Gage and Brenda Sue Lowrance, both of Selmer; two sons, Dennis Ray Coats and Ronnie Keith Coats, also of Selmer; four sisters, Ina Jo Roberts of Selmer, Mary Vaughn of Lexington, Tennessee, Phyllis Coats and Julie Coats; a brother Donald Coats of Selmer.Six grandchildren, Steven Gage, Stephanie Melton, Dustin Gladish, Anthony Lowrance, Hannah Lowrance, Aaron CoatsFour step-grandchildren, Keesha Coyle, Ashley Doles, Jerry Doles, Justin Robertson Four great-grandchildren, Nicole Gage, Coby Gage, Chole Gage, Jared MeltonOne step-great-grandchild, Bradley CoyleA host of other relatives and friends.
