Funeral services for Raymon H. Kea, Sr. age 63 of Waynesboro, TN will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2008 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Jimmy Pearcy officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kea, a native of Waynesboro, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his auto dealership, 99 Auto Sales on Edwards St. in Waynesboro. He was a son of the late William Raymon Kea and Rubye Nell Stockard Kea and grandson of the late John Brown and Ara Antha Kea, and very special aunts, Wilma Eakleand her husband Jordon, and Ruth Kea. Raymon served 4 years in the National Guard and was a member of the Nazarene Church, baptized at Keahole in Green River. Raymon received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity. In 1976 he moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he owned and managed an automotive supply store. Upon returning to Waynesboro in 1992, he owned and managed Napa Auto Parts and most recently owned and managed 99 Auto Sales.
He loved his family, friends, and dealing in cars. His true joy was babysitting and spending time with his grandchildren-Sydni, Savanna, and Eli. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He was very generous, fun loving, caring and always happy with a smile on his face. He was a joy to be around.
He is survived by his children, Daniella F. McClain and her
husband Greg and Raymon H. Kea, Jr. grandchildren, Sydni, Savanna, and Eli McClain all of Waynesboro; Brothers,
Robert Kea of Waynesboro and Larry Kea of Hohenwald; and a sister, Hilda Haygood of Slidell, LA
