Ray Turner

Ray Turner departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the age of 80 years, 1 month.He was born in Waco, Texas on May 13, 1933, the son of the late Albert and Alma Briggs Turner. On May 11, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ella Durbin, who survives. Mr. Turner had been firefighter for the Brandon Fire Department in Brandon, Florida and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a very religious man and loved studying the Bible. He also loved birds, dogs and plants. Mr. Turner was a lifelong member of Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette, ArkansasMr. Turner is survived by his wife, Ella Durbin Turner of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Elizabeth Williams Gibbs, Sarah Garrard, Martha Griffin, and Anna McCasland all of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Andrew Turner of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Leroy Turner of Reskin, Florida; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Donald Turner.
