RAY NETTLES, JR.

 Henderson, TN: Ray Vernon Nettles, Jr. age 61 passed away February 24, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born September 10, 1962, in Fort Pierce, FL and raised by his late parents, Bernice and Pansy Berry Wheeler. He grew up and attended school in Fort Pierce.

He worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, football, and NASCAR.

He was an ordained Christian Pastor and worked with small churches when he traveled. He was a very kind man and would help those in need whenever he could.    

Mr. Nettles is survived by a son, Michael Kirkland of Vero Beach, FL and two daughters, Megan Kirkland of Henderson and Crystal Asa (Joshua) of Shelbyville, IN, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Neal Wheeler (Kelly) of Finger and Roger Nettles of Vero Beach FL and six sisters, Brenda Wheeler of Finger, Alberta Evers (Bobby) of Leesbury, FL Janice Anderson of GA, Becky Bridges of GA, Belinda Tanner of GA and Nina Svelling (Kris) of Islandton, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Marcus Nettles, a brother, James Neal Wheeler; a sister, Kathy Wheeler Taylor and two great grandchildren.
