Ray Allen Moore

Henderson, TN: Ray Allen Moore, age 69 passed away January 2, 2013, at Jackson General Hospital.He was born in the Laurel Hill community of Chester County. He was the son of the late James “Nathan” Moore and Martha Elmer Webster Moore. He attended school at Phillip’s School House in the Montezuma community and helped on the family farm. In addition to farming he worked at his brother’s sawmill, “The Earl Moore Sawmill,” and the M and M Truck Plaza in Henderson.He enjoyed watching westerns and old comedies, gospel music and visiting with family and friends.He is survived by his nephew and guardian Joshua Wheeler and friend and caregiver Kevin Matthews, both of Henderson. Preceding him in death besides his parents are three brothers: Curtis Moore, Richard Moore, and Earl Moore and four sisters: Ruth Roland, Aline McNeil, Frances Novarese, and Mary Alice Moore. Surviving siblings include two brothers: Udell Moore of Peoria, IL and Cleatus Moore of Henderson, and one sister Audrey Rowland of Selmer, TN.
