Ray Baker

Beech Bluff, TN: Ray (Pop’s) Allen Baker, Jr. age 59 passed away October 18, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in Kyles Ford, TN the son of the late Ray A. and Jo Ann Levisey Baker. He graduated from high school at Kyles Ford. He worked at his father’s saw mill and tobacco farm at Kyles Ford and worked for Kelley Electric out of Kennett, MO. He later worked at Quaker Oats in maintenance and owned Baker Electric and was a master electrician wiring houses and other commercial jobs. He attended Diamond Grove Church of Christ at Beech Bluff. Ray was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and friend who was loved by all. He married Nola Jean Mitchell in 1975 and they lived in Henderson, Finger and have resided in Beech Bluff for the past 10 years. He is survived by his wife Nola Jean Mitchell Baker; a son, Joey Patterson and wife Dawn and a daughter, Candy Blankenship and husband Charles all of Beech Bluff, TN; six grandchildren, Wesley Whitten Blankenship, Channing Brea Blankenship, Warren Allen Patterson, Craig Key, Zachary Key and Kalay Key; a brother, Lynn Carlos Baker of Memphis and two nieces, Kari Ann Baker and Katelyn Baker.
