Services for Randy Scott (Scotty) Battles, age 31 of Waynesboro will be Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Visitation will be Saturday, December 31st from 5:00-9:00 PM and Sunday, January 1st from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.



Pallbearers are Dwight (Gator) Thompson, Colby Holder, Craig Hiolder, Jim Calton, Darrell Davis, Jim Green, Robert Warren, Jeremy Davis, and

James S. Thompson.



Scotty was born December 30, 1979 in Tuscaloosa, AL, a grandson of the late Lester Vanderford and Elmer and Frances Elizabeth Battles. Scotty died at his home Wednesday, December 28, 2011. At age 2 his family relocated to Clifton where Scotty made his home until 2001. For 10 years he worked at Davis Lawn and Garden in Waynesboro. In 2007 he became a cable installer at Mastex Inc. where he was presently employed. Scotty, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, was married to Stacey Cooper March 20, 2004.



He is survived by his wife Stacey Cooper Battles; son, Cooper Scott Battles, and daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Battles all of Waynesboro, TN; parents, Randy Dale and Barbara Joan Vanderford Battles of Clifton, TN; brothers, Kenneth Dale Battles and fiance Allison Boyd of Columbia, TN and Eric James Battles and wife Natilie Warren Battles of Waynesboro, TN;

sister, Miranda Jane Battles of Columbia, TN; niece, Lexie Wells;

nephews, Hunter Carroll and Ethan Battles;

grandmother, Juanita Kizzire and step-grandfather Wayne of Clifton, TN; step-grandmother, Gada Vanderford;

aunts, Pam Beatle and Robin Vanderford; uncle Terry Jones all of Tuscaloosa, AL; aunt and uncle Paul and Janice Battles both of Clifton, TN; cousins, Ashley, Carrie, Gracie, Chase, and Haley.
