Steve Randall Taylor was born June 11, 1956 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Charles Douglas Taylor and Ruby Jean Smith Ashe. He departed this life on February 11, 2022 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 8 Months, surrounded by his family.
Randall was united in marriage to Brenda Forsyth on December 10, 1996.
Randall was from Michie, TN where he grew up and went to school making a lifetime of friends. He graduated from McNairy Central High School and eventually began his career at Pickwick Electric Cooperative. He retired as a lineman after 36 years of service. Randall was also a Mason. He developed a strong relationship with the Lord. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He loved hunting and fishing, spending countless hours on Pickwick Lake. Randall loved any reason to be outside and loved mowing yards. He loved bluegrass music. He played the guitar and spent time with friends making music. He was very charismatic and never met a stranger, always making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Taylor of Selmer, TN; his children: Candi Baker and husband Derrick of Horn Lake, MS, Craig Taylor and partner Molly Thacker of Savannah, TN, Ginny King of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren: Shelby Baker, Kaden Taylor, Wade Taylor, Titus Taylor, and Greyson Moore; nieces, Amber Clifton and Angie Taylor; sister-in-law, Audrey Taylor; his favorite truck companion and fishing buddy, Lillie Mae; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Taylor.
