Ramona Wilson

April 27, 1933 — January 22, 2006

She was born and reared in Madison County, in the Five Points Community, the daughter of the late Clifton Carl and Mary Juanita Williams McCormick Murchison. She attended schools in Pinson. She was married to Ralph Wilson in 1949. Mr. Wilson served in the Air Force and they made their home in various places around the world. They moved to the Seavers Road Community and then to the Diamond Grove Community in 1995.

While living in the Seavers Road Community they were active in the Parkburg Baptist Church and then when they moved to the Diamond Grove Community she was active in the Big Springs Methodist Church where she was a member. She was a homemaker.



She is survived by her husband Ralph Donovan Wilson of Beech Bluff; two sons; Robert “Bob” Wilson of Haymarket, VA and Kenneth Carl “Pete” Wilson of Goose Creek, S.C. three daughters; Mary Lee of Beech Bluff, Darlene Wilson of Jackson and Donna Bain of Oliver Springs, TN; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She has two brothers Joe McCormick of Pinson and Jack McCormick of Atlanta and two sisters Bonita Scheele of Pinson and Carla Mynott of Past Christian, MS.



She was preceded in death by two brothers Gerald McCormick in 1982 and Thomas Michael McCormick in 1983.



Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, from the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Montgomery and Rev. Howard Russom officiating and burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery.



The family will receive friends at Casey Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Big Springs Methodist Church.
