Ralph Mayes

Mr. Mayes departed this life on Monday night, September 12, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN.
He was born in Hickory Flat, MS, the son of the late Bilbo Ruth Mayes and Pauline Norr Mayes. At a young age, his family moved to Saulsbury where he lived the remainder of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, J. C. and Harold Mayes.
A member of New Life Christian Fellowship, he worked for over forty years for Crane Co. in tool & die maintenance. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being outdoors, working around his shop and cutting hay with his son on their tractors. Described by his family as a great, hardworking father and grandfather who took care of his family, he will be deeply missed.
He leaves his wife, Barbara Mayes; his daughter, Beverly Bumpus (Ronnie); and his son, Ralph Mayes (Sheila); all of Saulsbury; two sisters, Paula McAlpin of Lagrange and Bonnie Johnson of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
