Services for Ralph Davis, age 80, of Waynesboro will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Cary Crews officiating. Burial following in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.Pallbears are David Edwards, David Brewer, Jody Lay, Ralph Statom, Jerry Venable, and Bruce Howell.He was born March 15, 1930 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the son of the late Percy and Eva Dugger Davis. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra; twin sons, Ralph Wayne and Richard Lane Davis. Mr. Davis departed this life Friday, October 29, 2010 at Wayne Medical Center at the age of 80 Years, 7 Months, 14 Days.Mr Davis, a 2 year veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps, was a retired musician having played on the Grand Ole Opry for over 40 years. He was a member of Wayne Furnace church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Sharp Davis; son, Danny Davis and wife Beth; grandson, Logan Taylor Davis all of Waynesboro; brothers, Kenneth Davis and Guy Davis both of Waynesboro and Glendon Davis of Dayton, TN.
