R. D. Russell

R. D. Russell was born October 12, 1923 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late James Bunyan Russell and the late Rosa Drusilla Locke Russell.He was united in marriage to Margie Rhea McGee on September 2, 1944.Mr. Russell was a retired Machinist for Dana Corporation in Corinth, Mississippi and was a farmer. He was inducted into the United States Navy during World War II and was also a member of the Sulphur Springs Methodist Church. Mr. Russell departed this life on February 4, 2007 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 23 Days. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margie Rhea McGee Russell of Selmer, Tennessee; three sons: Ray Russell and wife Jane of Bartlett, Tennessee, Larry Russell and wife Jane of Stantonville, Tennessee and Danny Russell and wife Melinda of Middleton, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Joel Gray, Daniel Russell, David Russell, Matthew Russell, Scotty Lawson, Jordan Russell and Sydney Russell; and two great-grandchildren: Aspen and Mallorie Gray. In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell was also preceded in death by a brother, J. B. Russell.
