Preston E. King

Preston E. King was born June 3, 1934 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Dim and Mittie Ester Adkinson King.He was united in marriage to Shirlene Goolsby on December 24, 1954.Mr. King was a salesman for Locke Brothers. He was a member of the Piney Grove Church of God in Selmer, Tennessee. He enjoyed working in his garden and working on his 1952 Chevy.Mr. King departed this life on March 27, 2008 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 73 Years, 9 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirlene King of Pocahontas, TN; two daughters, Sharon Hart and husband Larry of Selmer, TN, Shelia Henry and husband Joey of Corinth, MS; a son, Larron King and wife Anita of Selmer, TN; a brother, Eldridge King and wife Lonnel of Selmer, TN; a sister, Delcie Goodrum of Eupora, MS, a sister-in-law, Elizabeth King of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren, Lani Coats and husband Josh of Selmer, TN, Kayla Hart of Selmer, TN, Heather Sharp and husband Robert of Corinth, MS, Hailey Henry of Corinth, MS, and Wes King of Selmer, TN.In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth King on May 20, 1997; a sister, Vestie McDaniel and husband Parvin; a brother, James Welborn King, and a brother-in-law, Berlie Goodrum.
