Phillip Leon McNeil

Mr. McNeil passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital.



A native of Bethel Springs, he was the son of the late James H. and Mary Aline Moore McNeil. He grew up in Memphis and was employed at Lewis Supply Co. for several years. He moved to Henderson in 1980 where he worked for Brown Shoe Co. He was employed at Thyssen-Krupp Elevators from 1983 -2009. On January 22, 1983, he married Dovie Mae Kiestler and they lived in Hornsby until her death on August 20, 1996. He was a member of the Hatchie Baptist church and loved hunting and fishing.



He is survived by two sisters, Angi (Mark) Knipper and Pam (Paul) Chance, both of Henderson; a sister-in-law, Pattye McNeil of Winchester, TN; two nephews, Jeffery and Jonathan McNeil; four nieces, Megan and Kaley Knipper, Macy and Shelley Chance, all of Henderson.



In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne McNeil and a special friend, Pam Jones McCaskill.
