Phillip "Butch" Stanley Reeder

Phillip Stanley (Butch) Reeder, born on August 18, 1943, in Booneville, MS, to the late Phillip Stewart and Mary Blanche Gurley Reeder, peacefully departed this life on January 3, 2025, in Savannah, Tennessee, the age of 81.

Butch was united in marriage to Charlotte Faye Willis on March 16, 1963. Together, they built a loving family and shared countless memories over their 61 years together. Mr. Reeder was a dedicated member of Pickwick United Methodist Church in Counce, TN. He devoted over 45 years of his career to PCA, where he served as a shift leader in the wood yard.

Butch had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed spending his free time fishing, hunting, and caring for his yard. He was also an avid reader, always seeking knowledge and enjoyment through the written word.

Above all, Butch cherished his family. The time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He is survived by his beloved wife, Faye Reeder; two daughters, Lisa Reeder Mitchell and her husband Troy of Ardmore, TN and Cheryl Danille Reeder Harvill of Counce, TN; two brothers, Robert Louis Reeder of Ramer, TN and Arnold Lee Reeder with his wife Jean of Southaven, MS; along with two grandchildren, Zachary Troy Mitchell and his wife Aarika of Seattle, WA and Maggie Elise (Mitchell) Buzbee and her husband Josh of Ardmore, TN. Butch’s legacy also includes four great-grandchildren: Hudson Brooks Buzbee, Charlotte Kate Buzbee, Lael June Mitchell, and Ida Jane Mitchell, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Anthony Todd (Tony) Harvill, and two brothers, Charlie and Ronnie Reeder.

Phillip Stanley Reeder will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
