Phillip Boleyn was born August 5th, 1948, in Selmer, Tennessee. He was third child and first son of Curtis Boleyn and Mary Agnes Mace Boleyn.
Mr. Boleyn was a graduate of Adamsville High School, Class of 1966.
He was a current resident of Raymore, Missouri, and formerly resided in Neosho, Missouri, Guntown, Mississippi and the Adamsville, Tennessee area.
Phillip was a lifelong railroader, having worked over 30 years for various railroads in the maintenance of way department working up to the position of roadmaster. After retiring from the Kansas City Southern, he worked 11 years as a track inspector for the Federal Railroad Administration. In his final years, he has worked as a safety instructor for Track Sense, helping train the next generation of employees. He took immense pride in teaching and passing on his years of accumulated knowledge.
Phillip married Janie Lentz on March 24th, 1979, and they had two sons, Phillip II (Bo) and Brandon.
Phillip was a faithful member of Dayspring Pentecostal Church, where he served as an usher, board member, “maintenance man” and occasional singer there for the past 20 years.
His hobbies and favorite things included gardening, collecting railroad memorabilia, working at his church, traveling across the country with Janie, marking off Cracker Barrel restaurants that he had been to on his traveling, bragging on his grandkids, grilling, and making lots of homemade ice cream for his friends and family.
After a brief and unexpected battle with lymphoma, Phillip went to his reward on October 26th, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 74 years 2 months 21 days.
He is survived by Janie, his loving wife of 43 years; three daughters, Leslie Annette Wodtke and husband Tim of San Antonio, Texas, Christy Michelle Williams of Henderson, TN, Trinity Dawn McDaniel and husband Scott of Melissa, TX, and two sons, Phillip Lynn Boleyn II and wife Dana of Grandview, MO, and Brandon Curtis Boleyn and wife Kayla of Raymore, MO; eight grandchildren – Mikaela Wodtke, Brianna Wodtke, Chelsea Armstrong, Bianca Armstrong, Harleigh Williams, Shane McDaniel, Mackenzie Boleyn, Estalee Boleyn, (and at least 1 more on the way!); and six great-grandchildren – Jayden, Jayce, Willow, Anthony, Brentley, and Kylee.
He is also survived by two sisters Shirley Wright of Adamsville, TN, Jo Ann Spears and husband Bobby of Adamsville, TN, and brother Terry Boleyn of Selmer, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed immediately with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m.
