Pinson, TN: Peggy Ann Moore Pierce age 76 passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born December 18, 1941 in Nashville, the daughter of the late Edgar Gus and Aline Upchurch Moore. She went to school in Nashville and married Norman Pierce in 1959. They made their home in areas around Nashville where Mr. Pierce was a truck driver. They moved to Pinson, and Mrs. Pierce worked at Bruce Hardwood, Clark Leather in Bolivar, and Chester County Sportswear.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and making clothes for the children, and doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Pierce is survived by three sons, Norman Eugene ‘Bo’ Pierce (Kim) of Pinson, Terry G. Pierce (Vivian) of Henderson and Edgar Alan Pierce of Pinson and a daughter, Katherine Ann Pierce of Pinson; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman Pierce in 2013; one sister, Linda Pack and three brothers, Jerry Moore, Eugene Moore and Leon Moore.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday.
