Ms. Hines died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.
She was the daughter of the late Hiram Melton and Nina Lee Black Hines. Born in Ripley, MS, she lived for eleven years in New Hampshire where she worked for the Legislative Budget Assistance Office. The remainder of her life, she was a resident of Saulsbury.
A member of the Saulsbury Baptist Church, Ms. Hines also was in the Community Players of Concorn, NH. She loved to make people smile and was noted for facing adversity in her life with humor.
Among her survivors are her brother, James Melton Hines and her best friend, Cissye Pierce.
