Pearl Hood

PEARL WHITT HOODDyersburg, TN: Doshie Pearl Whitt Hood, age 70, passed away April 30, 2009 at her home.She was born and reared in Henderson, Chester County, the daughter of the late Tom and Sally Wilson Whitt. She went to school in Chester County. She was married in 1953 to Aubrey Hood of Dyersburg. They made their home in Dyersburg, where he was in the logging business. Mr. Hood was killed in a logging accident in 1966. She continued to make her home in Dyersburg and raised her family. She was a Baptist and loved working in flowers, gardening and fishing. She had been sick for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hart of Dyersburg and Lois Bryson of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother, Ernest Whitt and a sister, Dottie Klein both of Dyersburg.
