Pauline Elizabeth Thorn Sanders was born June 10, 1932 in the Falcon Community of Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Clirton Able and Artie Sweat Thorn.
Ms. Sanders graudated from Selmer High School in 1951. She retired from Town Restaurant in Corinth, MS and had also worked at the Peabody Hotel and Gerber's Department Store in Memphis, TN. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee and she had accepted Christ at the age of 14 at the Methodist Church in Fairmont City, IL.
She had lived in Pinson, TN, East St. Louis, MO, Fairmont City, IL and Memphis, TN but she consider Selmer, TN to be her home.
She was a lover of history especially McNairy County history. She was very close to her grandson, Mark and granddaughter-in-law, Amanda. She was especially proud and delighted at the birth of her great-grandson Jack on August 8, 2014.
Ms. Sanders departed this life on October 31, 2014 in Memphis, TN at the age of 82 Years, 4 Months, 21 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (McKinney) Randall and husband Bob of Southaven, MS; a brother, Reo Hosman of Maumelle, AR; a grandson, Mark Randall and wife Amanda; a great-grandson, Jack Henry Randall; an aunt, Jonell Thorn of Belleville, IL; dear friend, Delbert Huckabee; friends, Missy, Sophie and Maggie Whitaker; classmate of Selmer High School of 1951; a special thank you to Dr. Nidal Rahal for his loving compassionate care and guidance during this difficult journey.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Sanders was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Dawn Wallace.
