Paul Kemp was born on May 20, 1943 in McNairy County, Tennessee, the son of the late Austin and Elzie Griffin Kemp.
In April of 1961, he was united in marriage to Maxine Brumley, who survives.
For 58 years, Mr. Kemp owned Kemp's Tack Shop and Lawn Mower Service and enjoyed solving the world's problems with his friends at the repair shop. He loved riding and training horses, coon hunting, and was an avid outdoorsman. Paul loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Paul Kemp departed this life on November 24, 2023 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 4 days.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine Kemp; daughter, Mitzi Rabb and her husband Richard; son, Stacey Kemp; grandchildren, Trent Phillips and his wife Shelby, Tyler Phillips and his wife Daniell, and Hunter Kemp; great grandchildren, Tate Phillips, Tyce Phillips, and Conrad Phillips; and sisters, Shelia Lowden, Linda Harville, and Patricia Smothers.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Glendon Kemp, Sr.; sister, Saundra Burkeen; and an infant sister, Virginia Kemp.
