Paul David Hurst

Paul David Hurst was born September 1, 1941 in Bethel Springs, TN the son of the late Paul and Caroline King Hurst.

He was united in marriage to Gail Ray on April 8, 1967.

Mr. Hurst graduated from Bethel Springs High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964, earning the rank of Seaman Apprentice. He was employed as a machine operator for Dover Elevator in Horn Lake for many years. Watching the Titans and Vols, fishing, hunting, raising tomatoes, and playing the slots were among Mr. Hurst's favorite activities.

Mr. Hurst departed this life on October 19, 2022 in Horn Lake, Mississippi at the age of 81 Years, 1 Month, 18 Days. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gail (Ray) Hurst of Horn Lake, MS; a son, David Hurst of Horn Lake, MS; a daughter, Lisa Hurst of Horn Lake, MS; a sister, Betty Whitaker of Jackson, TN; a brother, Billy Hurst of Minnesota; a former daughter-in-law, Melissa Pannel of Horn Lake, MS; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Moore; his grandparents; cousins Gail Hurst, Tim Hurst, and Jan Hurst; aunt, Ethel Hurst; uncle, Elmer Hurst; and his two Terriers, Max and Buddy.
